Join Our Client's Team: Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor Wanted in London

Location: London, Near Angel Station

Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + Performance Based Bonus

Job type: Full-Time

 

Role Overview:

As a Commercial Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality services to our clients across various construction projects. Your responsibilities will vary based on your level of experience:

 

  • Lead negotiations and maintain robust relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Oversee contract management, including drafting, administration, and managing variations, ensuring alignment with financial and project objectives.
  • Conduct detailed cost reporting, valuations, and implement cost controls to monitor project expenditures and financial progress.
  • Manage pre- and post-contract responsibilities effectively across various contract forms, providing expert commercial oversight and decision-making.
  • Perform risk management by identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to enhance overall project results.
  • Ensure compliance with project standards and industry regulations through precise management of the procurement process, from tendering to supplier selection.
  • Maintain rigorous adherence to budgetary constraints, quality standards, and performance specifications.
  • Analyze data and market trends to conduct benchmarking and cost analysis, fostering continuous improvement within project scopes.

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-4 years of quantity surveying experience, preferably on infrastructure projects (i.e. railway / highway).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
