  • Position Title: Shipping Assistant
  • Working Location: Central (Nearest MRT: Little India)
  • Working Hours: 5 days (Monday to Friday: 9 am-6 pm)
  • Salary Package: Up to SGD 2700 + AWS + Variable Bonus
  • Duration: Permanent

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all import/export documentation for sea and air freight, including the preparation of required shipping paperwork
  • Prepare invoices, permits, and arrange cargo insurance as needed
  • Liaise with clients for certificate applications and related documentation
  • Coordinate with shipping lines and freight forwarders to arrange container transshipments and confirm vessel schedules for barge connections
  • Submit Bill of Lading drafts to shipping lines or freight forwarders and print original Bills of Lading via online platforms
  • Apply for and process various permits using Tradeweb and handle back-to-back Certificate of Origin applications
  • Submit complete documentation packages to banks for DIP, D/A, and L/C transactions.
  • Scan and file documents into the in-house server system
  • Prepare local delivery documents and liaise with clients to coordinate delivery arrangements.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse on goods collection and delivery logistics
  • Monitor shipping line nominations for transshipment containers and update import container records in the in-house system
  • Coordinate with transporters for LCL clearances from ports to clients’ warehouses and assign transportation jobs as needed
  • Provide support for any other ad hoc assignments as required

  • Min. 1 year of working experience in shipping documentation
  • Experience in import/export documentation or Tradenet/Tradeweb for permit processing is a plus
  • Training provided to inexperienced candidate
