  • Industry/ Organization Type: Logistics, Transportation, and Supply Chain Industry
  • Position Title: Ocean Freight Import Officer
  • Working Location: Toh Guan
  • Working Hours: 5 days (Monday – Friday, 08:15 AM – 3:30 PM)
  • Salary Package: Basic Salary + Bonus
  • Duration: Permanent Role

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate sea import shipments
  • Ensure accurate customer documentation and compliance with safety procedures
  • Prepare and process import documents (e.g., HB/L, MBL, manifest, customs declarations)
  • Perform system data entry and resolve shipment issues
  • Communicate with customers, shipping lines, transport teams, and overseas offices for smooth deliveries
  • Ensure timely billing and collection of charges from customers or agents
  • Follow up on short-landed, damaged, or discrepancy cargo
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints
  • Prepare payment vouchers and close shipment files
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

  • Minimum Diploma qualification
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures and freight forwarding
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Willing to work overtime if required
  • Strong analytical skills and able to work independently and as part of a team
