Position Title: Senior Software Engineering Manager

Working Location: Tanjong Pagar (Walk distance from MRT)

Working Hours: 5 Days, Monday – Friday (Office Hours)

Salary Package: Basic Salary + Performance Bonus

Responsibilities

Lead, guide, and develop a team of Platform, SRE, and DevOps engineers, promoting a culture of high performance, teamwork, and accountability.

Oversee system backend and infrastructure design to ensure scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.

Drive the execution of complex, high-impact initiatives across multiple engineering teams.

Define and implement a long-term technical strategy focused on platform scalability, security, and system resilience, aligned with business goals.

Manage and enhance cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP), ensuring best practices in automation, monitoring, and cost optimization.

Design, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation (Terraform), and container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).

Lead incident response and operational improvements to maintain high system availability and resilience.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Minimum 8 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

Proven experience in building, managing and leading high-performing engineering teams and deliver complex technical projects.

Strong knowledge of backend architecture, system design, and cloud infrastructure management (GCP preferred)

Solid understanding of CI/ CD pipelines, automation, monitoring, logging, tracing, and incident management principles.

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).

Experience managing and scaling large databases (both relational and NoSQL) is an added advantage.

Experience with Data Engineering, including tools such as BigQuery and Looker is a plus.

Experience in cloud cost optimization and financial management is good to have.

Strategic mindset with the ability to balance technical direction and business objectives.
