- Position Title: Mould Designer/ Tooling Designer
- Working Location: Woodlands North (Transport Provided from North, Northeast and East areas)
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm
- Salary Package: Up to $4,800 + AWS + VB
- Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and present DFM (Design for manufacturing)
- Construct the Tool design assembly layout
- Prepare and issue 2D detail insert & mould base drawing with appropriate tolerance for manufacturing
- Tool design must be manufacturability and can estimate cycle time base on as design
- Tool design concept able to run production efficiently with lowest cycle time
- Tool design capable to run auto cycle
- Assist in Customer Engineering Change
- Continual improvement on the tool concept
- Conduct tool design review to present his / her design concept
- Endorse and release tooling drawing to tool room for mould manufacturing
- Raise Purchase requisition for the tooling related direct and indirect purchase
- Any other duties and responsibilities delegated by superior

- Minimum NITEC qualification in Mechanical Engineering or specialization in Tool and Die.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in plastic tooling design.
- Practical experience in designing different types of moulds, with proficiency in CAD and CAE software, preferably Unigraphics, MPA Autodesk.
- Strong understanding of engineering plastic properties.
- Familiarity with medical moulds, LSR moulds, micro moulds, and high-cavitation moulds.
