Join Our Client's Team: Assistant Commercial Manager / Junior Quantity Surveyor Wanted in London

We are in search of an Assistant Commercial Manager / Junior Quantity Surveyor ready to contribute to a high-performing team in London, near Angel Station.

 

Location: London, Near Angel Station

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum + Performance Based Bonus

Job type: Full-Time

 

Role Overview:

As an Assistant Commercial Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality services to our clients across various construction projects. Your responsibilities will vary based on your level of experience:

 

• Assist in the management of all contract-related activities, including drafting, negotiations, and administration, ensuring compliance with financial and project objectives.
• Support the senior commercial team in managing project costs and budgets, including cost reporting and valuation.
• Participate in the procurement process, assisting with tendering and supplier selection to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project standards.
• Help to maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, facilitating effective communication and project execution.
• Contribute to risk management processes by helping to identify potential risks and suggesting mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, performance specifications, and budgetary constraints.
• Engage in pre- and post-contract duties, gaining exposure to various contract forms and commercial management practices.

 

Requirements:

• A minimum of 1-3 years of quantity surveying experience, preferably on infrastructure projects (i.e. railway / highway).
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
